THE RUT

Hunting season is in full swing. I haven't been able to get out bow hunting as much as I'd like to this year because of weddings and other fun stuff. I had a super fun trip to ND and harvested a nice 131" 10 point! My food plots are looking the best they every had I think which is a really good feeling after all of the hard work put in. Absolutly can not wait for the next couple of weeks! Pre-rut is coming to a close and the rut is almost here!!! My favorite time of year. If you haven't tagged your buck yet now is the time to put your time in. I read recently that the majority of Boone and Crocket bucks in the mid west are always harvested form November 4th to November 12th. So if you have been hunting hard and haven't had much luck now is not the time to give up. Get out there! Find a funnel, pinch point or travel corridor and put some time in the stand. Setting up on the down wind side of doe bedding is another great tactic. Good luck and enjoy this magical time of year!
