If you are a hardcore deer hunter you probably think about deer hunting 24/7 365. Even getting that cabin fever thinking about deer hunting in the frigid month of January. It's a though time of year for the deer hunter knowing that next season is a ways off and this time of year is also a tough time of year for the whitetail. Now is when the deer are really benefiting from the food plots that we worked so hard on earlier.  This is the time of year the herd is nailing what every available. Food plots seeded with Frigid Forage Big N Beasty are a favorite to the deer this time of year. Big N Beasty is also a favorite of many hunters for good reason.  It contains High Protein Forage Rapes, Sugar Beets, Forage Turnips and Daikon Radishes.  Big N Beasty is one of the best top selling brassica mixes on the market for a couple of reasons. First the seed is just easy to plant and establish. It grows very well in a variety of soil types. All you need is a good seed bed and some rain. Lets not forget that a soil test is always recommended. Also if you want the maximum forage tonnage out of this plot mix side dressing it with nitrogen after it gets up to 4 or 5 inches is the best. Secondly you don't have to plant Big N Beasty until late summer and lets face it, some of us procrastinate. It produces a huge amount of forage per acre and the seed is also really affordable per acre.  Another good thing is that the deer won't attack it with full force until the first frost so it tends to last longer into the season. If you haven't ever panted it you really should give it a try. The Frigid Forage Big N Beasty food plot is favorite and I would bet it will be in many years to come.
